Join us for our 3rd clinic of the year. This one concentrates on strategy: When should you shoot or point? What's the optimal move give the number of boules played and their position on the court? Should you go for the point or .... ?

Club Championship Mixed Doubles

Get a partner and register for the Club Championship Mixed Doubles. This is an event that is open only to club members. (New members may register on the day of the tournament.) Registration is $10 / person ($20 / team). There will be a prize purse, medals and a trophy for the winners. We will also have a pot luck which is NOT restricted to players. So bring something to share with everyone. The club will provide some meat for the grill.

Teams must register via email to the club account, listing both players, by Friday, 11 Aug. Sign-in is 9:30 the day of the tournament.

Dog Days of Summer Doubles -- POSTPONED

Originally scheduled for 6 August, we are postponing this very fun event. We'll post a corrected date as soon as we can.

Here's what it'll be: Join us for the Dog Days of Summer Doubles. This Doubles Tournament will be a Red / Blue panache or melee (new partner every game or random partner for the tournament). The actual format will be determined based on the players who register. The goal is to match more skilled with lesser skilled players. Registration is $10 per player. There will be a prize purse so register soon! This is NOT a closed tournament -- it is open to members as well as non-members of the club.

Bastille Day in the Pearl

Join us for some petanque in the Pearl! The Portland French Alliance is holding their annual Bastille Day Festival in Jamison Square today. PPC members will participate with some games and we will have extra boules to teach you how to play. Look for us throwing steel!

Our annual Club Championship Singles, this tournament is open to PPC members only, including our associate members. The fee is $15 per person. Pre-registration is required. Send an email to pdxpetanque@gmail.com to confirm your intent to play.

We will start at 9:00 with check-in at 8:30. A potluck is NOT planned.

St. Patty's Open and Pot Luck

Select Doubles Format
Join us in our first tournament of the year! $10.00 Per Person. Payout + medals for 1, 2 and 3rd places.  Bring a dish to share with others. The pot luck is open to all, not only players, and will start about 12:00. So please join us!

Play starts at 10:00. Sign-in and payment must be completed by 8:45.
