	Calendar- What we are up to.

	2011 St Patty's Panache rogues gallery of Winners

We play all year around, usually beginning at noon on Wednesdays and Sundays, weather permitting.

Our tournaments begin in the Spring and continue into the Fall. Our courts are spacious enough that those not entering a particular tournament can usually still find room to play pickup games while it is still going on.

Here is a schedule of tournaments in our club, the Pacific Northwest, and nationally, compiled by Tim Hruska-Larson, PPC President.

Abbreviations used:

PPC- Portland Petanque Club, FPUSA club, Westmoreland Park.

FPUSA- the national petanque federation with which PPC is affiliated.

MAY 6 PPC Membership Appreciation Day and Annual Meeting, at the PPC clubhouse, with brunch provided by the club. This is a big one since we will need half the membership to show up and vote for a couple of revisions to the club bylaws. It is your petanque duty to attend! And a skills clinic will follow after the meeting!

Explanation of terms:

Select: Players themselves select who they will be paired with

Melée- Teams are formed by randomly pairing players.

Panache- Teams are formed randomly and after each game players are formed into new teams.

Entry eligibility- Open tournaments are for anyone to enter. Club tournaments are for PPC members.CQT, regional & national tournaments are for PPC and other FPUSA members according to published criteria on official entry forms.

Prizes-can be gift certificates, patches, shirts, etc.

Trophies & Medals-plastic trophies, medals on ribbons, etc
